An Inch of Thought – Why I Started This Website

“An Inch of Thought” is what I call the space between knowing and expressing — that moment of pause before you speak, write, or create.

This website was born out of a need for that space.

For over four years, I’ve worked in communications — writing, crafting strategies, and telling stories. I’ve written for companies, clients, and campaigns. But somewhere along the way, I felt a growing need to have a space that wasn’t led by deadlines or briefs. A space that wasn’t defined by KPIs or conversions. Just a space that allowed me to think.

That’s what this website is.

It’s a digital notebook, a portfolio, and a blog — all rolled into one. A place where I can not only showcase my work but also explore the ideas that shape it. From architecture to public relations, from long-form writing to short, reflective musings — I wanted it all to coexist here. Because that’s how my mind works: connecting dots across disciplines, words, visuals, and values.

The name An Inch of Thought came quite naturally to me. It’s a blend of two worlds I belong to:
One — architectural, rooted in my education and early explorations in design.
And the other — a broader, more fluid world of communication, reading, writing, and reflection.

The word “inch” carries a quiet pun. It’s both a unit of measurement (something architects are too familiar with!) and a metaphor for the small fragments of thought we choose to express. This space isn’t an all-encompassing manifesto. It’s not a full account of what I think or believe. It’s just an inch. A glimpse. A sliver of the thousands of streams of thought that run through my mind each day.

In fact, that’s part of what pushed me to finally start this.

I’ve always resisted sharing my thoughts online. I’ve questioned: “Who’s going to read this?”, “What if it doesn’t make sense?”, or worse, “What if it does and still doesn’t matter?”
But over time, I’ve come to see value in expression itself — not always for others, but for myself. This site is a way of pushing past that hesitation. Of putting a few thoughts out into the world and letting them find whoever they’re meant to.

It’s also my way of sharing perspectives. Not always my own, but sometimes ideas, moments, or observations that feel overlooked. The everyday things we often pass by — how spaces influence emotions, how language reshapes meaning, how silence is also a form of expression. I don’t claim to have answers, just questions that make me pause. And this blog is where I reflect on them.

So if you’ve found yourself here, reading this, thank you. This space is still evolving — just like I am. And if nothing else, I hope it gives you a moment to slow down. To reflect. To pause for an inch of thought.
